FARMING gold? These game creators will think of anything!
I’m pretty sure there are some online help sites, good luck. I hope to soon get it, it sounds cool!
Build up raw material professions such as Skinning, Herbalism, or Mining and sell stacks on AH for gold. Mining makes the most money.
What I also like to do it buy up stuff from the AH from people who don’t really know the true value or are just selling low, and build stacks to resell for more.
There really is no best way to do that, but I’d suggest having a rogue, hunter, etc…Mostly, just a class that requres very little, if any, downtime..The only exception would really be with a mage, where you can just go out and AoE farm/kill around in areas like the Western Plagueland farms. Then, find a place not already to camped out by farmers that has a good drop rate for sellable items (silk, mageweave, runecloth, higher level greys that sell for anywhere from 1 to 3 or so gold, etc). A good place would be Western Plaguelands, Felwood with the Furblogs, etc..As long as its not to crowded, and you can keep up a constant killing pace, that tends to work well. Then, of course, you get to sell all that fun stuff you found on the AH or vendors..depending on what/what quality the item is.
Or..if mind-numbing killing isn’t your cup of tea, you could take up a gathering profession (herbalism, mining, and/or skinning). The first two are fairly easy, but it can take time to find good spots for them…Usually, its a safe bet to take a lap or two around higher level areas to get a decent stack of whatever. Skinning, though, does require the mindless killing. Though, I can’t name to many good places for skinning either..>< Then, theres the wonderful Dis-enchanting. This is a great ability..To turn BoE items into valuable..and often overpriced..enchanting materials. Though, these items are generally in themselves a pain to get.
Then, theres the overused ‘gank the low level instance’ tatic thats so popular anymore. Just take a character..again..one with a little down time..A rogue, hunter, mage are generally best from what I’ve seen..Though..whatever you do..I would not recomend this with a priest.for this or the first tatic..They heal..Not exactly the most powerful class out there for such things..Even if they do “melt faces..-.-” Now, just go to an instance, most common Scarlet Monestary, and demolish the place..Some prefer to just kill the bosses and leave..(Dis-enchanting the BoE blue(s) the boss(s) drop, to sell the shards).
A word of caution though..Most people see farmers as bad people trying to rip them off..That said..Have fun with the digital gold..Also, doing the things I mentioned are just a start..Best way to learn how to get gold is just by learning.
